"We have recently moved locally and now tried all the fish and chip shops around Lawford, Mistley and Manningtree. We have settled on this one as our favourite and the best! The fish and the batter are AMAZING!!! Having had the cod and haddock, it is beautifully cooked, lovely and meaty (NOT dry, "super fishy " or overcooked). We have been here a few times now, the food is consistent, piping hot and tasty. We order ahead. Pay by contactless. The social distancing and their PPE attire is good. Everywhere is clean and tidy. Great pricing. What's not to love! It's our regular! Recommend"

"Had the cod and chips. Truly tasty crispy batter and flakey fish. Chips were tasty and well cooked. Not dry at all. Even after walking home 10 minutes it was still a great meal. Throw in a picked egg and you won't regret it."

"The food is always fresh, hot and never greasy. The portions are a perfect size. Also a great range to choose from. They are also always very clean and very polite friendly staff. I have found it's always best to call first then collect. This also benefits from a lovely solid ramp on the entrance. Although space is tight it is accessible for mobility restricted people too."

"Award - Winning chippy!! Lovely staff and superb fish and chips! We ordered the 1/2 rotisserie chicken, Large cod, Hand-made Spring Rolls, chips with mushy peas and was absolutely delicious! Everything tasted so fresh and inside the shop was very clean. They were recently voted and won Best Fish and Chip shop in Essex!"

"Excellent fish and chips, I ordered the Large Cod and it was delicious, crispy & golden on the outside and soft & flaky inside! I tired their hand-made spring rolls which were recommended to me by the locals and oh my they were mouth-watering good! They recently won an award for Best Fish and Chip shop in Essex and I couldn’t agree more, well deserving of the award. I can’t wait to visit again!"
